Uga Bay Highlights

Exclusivity, first-class service and privacy make this resort in Passikudah an ideal destination for honeymooners and families alike. The underground spa at Uga Bay offers spellbinding Indian Ocean views while you enjoy spa treatments featuring Balinese and western massages, body rituals and therapies.

There’s plenty to do if you want to, but Uga Bay is also ideal for those who simply want to relax with the sand between their toes or soak up the sun beside the swimming pool. For the adventurous, it’s a few dozen steps from the beach to the reef, a snorkeler’s paradise as well as a great spot to fish for Trevally jack and grouper. Farther out, famous WW2 wrecks attract scuba divers, while fun-lovers can rent jet-skis from the hotel for a hour or more of excitement.

Sri Lankan tourist attractions in the vicinity include local villages and markets, traditional Hindu temples, the Dutch fort at nearby Batticaloa and the ancient city of Polonnaruwa with its giant Buddha statues and thirteenth-century ruins reminiscent of Angkor.
