SALT of Palmar, an adult-only boutique hotel, and a member of Design HotelsTM, seeks to give visitors a taste of the real Mauritius. Located on the east coast, SALT has a eco-friendly focus and uses only local suppliers. We hope to visit on our next trip to Mauritius!

SALT of Palmar seeks to give visitors a taste of the real Mauritius. By giving guests access to convertible cars, bikes and the gen on where to find hidden gems, the resort actively encourages their clients to go out and explore.
Locals designed, built and furnished SALT. Locals manage and run SALT. A curated collection of over 300 books, mainly from Mauritian authors, can be found in the library and guest rooms. SALT also focuses on sustainable practices, and does not use single-use plastics.
The resort is located right on the beach with a total of 59 rooms, one restaurant, a bakery and two bars. Other facilities include a salt room, spa, fitness centre, library and a selection of both water and land sports.
