Veligandu Maldives Resort Island

Veligandu Maldives Resort Island is located in North Ari Atoll, around 20 minutes by seaplane from Velana International Airport or approximately 60 minutes by speedboat. The 22-acre island is 600 metres long and 150 metres wide, with a long sandbank and house reef. The resort combines beachfront and overwater accommodation with a range of dining, leisure and watersports facilities.

Accommodation

The resort offers 100 villas, both on land and overwater. Villas range from 71 to 319 square metres and include a king-size bed, private terrace, air conditioning, ceiling fan, seating area, minibar, espresso machine, smart TV, Wi-Fi and bathroom with rain shower and double basins.

A number of villa types are restricted to guests aged 12 years and older.

Dining

Dhonveli Buffet Restaurant serves breakfast, lunch and dinner, with international and Asian cuisine, live cooking stations, themed dinners and Maldivian dishes. Madivaru Silk Restaurant & Teppanyaki Grill serves Mediterranean and Asian cuisine, alongside Japanese teppanyaki, while Raalhu Restaurant offers meat and seafood dishes.

Raalhu Bar is a stylish setting for relaxing and recharging, offering a selection of premium beverages in a comfortable, welcoming atmosphere, while Thundi Bar, located beside the infinity pool, serves a selection of drinks and light snacks, alongside evening entertainment.

Private dining, floating breakfasts and in-villa dining are also available.

Facilities & Activities

Facilities include Himeyn Spa, a Yoga Pavilion, fitness centre, pickleball and padel courts, and a games area with billiards, table tennis, foosball, shuffleboard and darts. The watersports centre offers jet skiing, kayaking and paddleboarding, as well as excursions including dolphin cruises, fishing and yacht trips. The dive centre provides access to 18 dive sites in North Ari Atoll, with courses available for different levels.
