Our Opinion of Brennia Kottefaru
Brennia Kottefaru is a new resort on the Eastern rim of the Raa Atoll, not far from the Ifuru airport, so easily reached by either seaplane or a short domestic flight and speedboat transfer from Male.
It's quite a large island by Maldives standards and the resort is comprised of 102 island villas, with and without pools, and 80 over water villas.
There are a variety of restaurants and bars on offer: the main Lime Restaurant has all day buffet dining, while Manta and Sunset Grill are a la carte options. La Pella is the pool bar and cafe, and the Sports Bar and Sing Sing karaoke bar provide non-traditional entertainment.
Other facilities include an 18 room Spa, a kids club, fitness centre, games room, tennis & badminton courts, and an Ocean Dimension dive centre. Gabbe Water Sports provide a range of motorised and non-motorised activities, as well as excursions.

Brennia Kottefaru occupies a generous 15-hectare island on the eastern rim of Raa Atoll, reached by a scenic 45-minute seaplane flight from Velana International Airport or a 20-minute domestic hop to Ifuru Airport followed by a short speedboat transfer.
The resort offers 142 villas spread across eight categories, from the intimate 79 sqm Bougain Villas tucked under the island's canopy to the expansive 370 sqm Two-Bedroom Beach Residences with private pools. Accommodation is finished in soft mahogany and warm amber tones, and all villas feature king-size beds, partial open-air bathrooms with rain showers, private sundecks, and modern amenities including complimentary WiFi and 48-inch flat-screen TVs.
