Our Opinion of RAH GILI MALDIVES
Rah Gili Maldives is the first property from Six & Six Private Islands, and it sets the tone for the brand with confidence. Located in South Male Atoll, right next to a dolphin sanctuary, this is a resort built around sensory detail and a genuine connection to place. The 74 villas are split between 38 overwater options and 36 beachfront, all with private pools and an indoor-outdoor flow that feels natural rather than forced. Materials are locally inspired wood, stone, and linen and the result is simple, refined, and unhurried.
Dining is a proper affair here. Six restaurants and four bars give plenty of variety, each with its own concept and setting. The Music Curator shapes the atmosphere through the day, which adds a layer of thoughtfulness you do not usually find. The spa is run by ELE|NA and built around the Five Elements of Nature, blending Maldivian healing traditions with global practices. Visiting specialists in fitness and nutrition add depth to the wellness offering.
There is a Kids Club, outdoor cinema, gym, multi-sport courts, and a water sports and dive centre. The house reef is a highlight with direct access to excellent snorkelling and diving, and the neighbouring dolphin sanctuary means regular sightings are almost guaranteed.
