Heritance Aarah Resort, Maldives
Raa AtollOur Opinion of Heritance Aarah
Heritance Aarah continues to be an appealing all-inclusive option in Raa Atoll, with attractive beaches, spacious villas and a strong line-up of dining venues. The island looks better each year as the vegetation matures, and the atmosphere is friendly and welcoming throughout, supported by a team that is genuinely eager to please.
Dining remains one of the resort’s biggest strengths. Ginifati offers excellent seafood in a lovely beachfront setting, and Ambula stands out with its creative Sri Lankan–Maldivian fusion cuisine — a clear highlight of our stay. The infinity pool bar is a stylish adults-only space, cocktails at Bandhi Bar are excellent (Ishar’s Angelfish Cocktail deserves a mention), and the premium all-inclusive plan impresses with Taittinger Champagne and a broad wine and spirits selection.
Accommodation is comfortable and well presented, especially the Beach Villas that enjoy generous stretches of natural sand. The resort also offers a wide range of facilities for families and active guests, including a great kids’ club, good fitness facilities, and interesting touches such as the Mauritian heritage exhibit. Our manta excursion was exceptionally well run — a memorable experience.
There are some areas where the resort doesn’t quite match its very top competitors. The main dining outlets — Ralu and Ranba — are perfectly adequate but lack some of the refinement found elsewhere. Snorkelling is possible but not effortless: access to the reef requires some confidence in the water, and coral cover is limited, so keen snorkellers may prefer alternative resorts. Service, while friendly, can occasionally feel a little over-attentive, with elements such as upselling and frequent feedback requests that slightly interrupt the otherwise relaxed feel.
Overall, Heritance Aarah offers a polished all-inclusive experience with excellent speciality dining, comfortable accommodation and warm hospitality. It is a strong choice for guests who value variety, lively energy and good food within a premium AI plan, particularly when priced well against its competitors.
