Tarangire National Park is renowned for its large concentration of elephants. It is easily accessible from Arusha and is often used as a starting point for those travelling around the northern circuit in Tanzania. For those looking for a shorter stay and less travelling, the Park is a very good choice with great accommodation and a large selection of wildlife.

Nimali Tarangire is an exclusive lodge located in a private concession on the eastern boundary of Tarangire National Park that is renowned for its stunning baobab trees and large concentration of elephants. The private concession has been set up to protect the habitat and ensure the management of the wildlife area.
The lodge is located alongside the riverbed and well hidden amongst the acacia and baobab trees. The main areas comprise of a spacious lounge, library and central dining area that overlooks the swimming pool and a waterhole that attracts wildlife. Guests can enjoy a relaxing evening in the lounge with a selection of books and sun-downers by the fireplace. Guests can experience walking safaris and night game drives in the concession.
The lodge can be accessed by air or by road. Transfer time from Arusha airport is around 2.5 hours, from Kuro airstrip, about 2 hours and from Lake Manyara airstrip, about 1 hour.
