But these are just a guide, we can provide itineraries to fit your needs, whether you want to be on the go the whole time, or whether you prefer a more relaxed and leisurely pace. The choice is entirely yours, and we look forward to working with you to create your dream experience.



Southern Circuit Safari
Day 1
On arrival at Dar es Salaam you will be met by our representative who will drive you to the Dar Es Salaam Serena Hotel. Depending on traffic this should take approximately 45 minutes.

Rest of the day at leisure. Take advantage of the resorts facilities, including a large pool area or for the more energetic, spend some time in the gym.

Overnight stay at the Serena Dar Es Salaam

Day 2
Transfer to the Julius Nyerere (domestic) airport for your flight to Stiegler's Gorge airstrip. Approximate flight time of 45 minutes.

On arrival you will be met by your safari guide to be taken to the Serena Selous Camp in time for lunch. Meals at the camp are a la carte with a wide selection to choose from.

After lunch you will be taken out by jeep to explore the park in search of game. Expect to see a wide variety of animals including Zebra, Giraffe, Wildebeest, Warthogs, Eland, Impala and Kudu. Travel to the watering holes and see Elephants, buffalo and resting in the shade, see if you can spot lions and other big cats. Return in time to relax and have dinner.

Overnight stay at the Serena Selous Camp.

Day 3
After breakfast transfer to the Mivumo River Lodge enjoying a game drive along the way.

Arrive at Mivumo in time for lunch. Lunch here is a la carte, with a selection of dishes to choose from.

Optional afternoon game drive. Enjoy another opportunity to see wildlife in their natural habitat.

Dinner and overnight stay at the Mivumo River lodge.

Day 4
After breakfast head out on a boat safari down the Rufiji River. This is what makes Mivumo a must see in the Selous. Not only does the lodge offer great views of the river, but it offers you the opportunity to board a small boat that takes you down the river and the chance to see hippos and crocodiles at close quarters.

Rest of the day at leisure. The lodge has a small swimming pool, bar and terrace that all afford a great view of the river.

Day 5
After Breakfast, return to the airstrip at Stiegler's Gorge for your return flight to Dar es Salaam and onward travel.


Northern Circuit Safari Long Tour
Long Tour

Day 1
Arrive at Kilimanjaro airport and transfer to Arusha for your first night's stay.

Overnight stay at one of the lodge's in Arusha.

Day 2
After breakfast proceed to Tarangire National park where you will spend the day enjoying the topography of the park, including the huge baobab trees. The park is also renowned for its tree climbing pythons and large herds of elephants. For the more adventurous traveller, Tarangire also offers you the opportunity to undertake a walking safari. Your resort will provide you with a packed lunch.

Overnight at Tarangire.

Day 3
After breakfast drive to Manyara and spend the morning game viewing in the park. The lake covers an area of 230 square kilometres so expect to see a plethora of birdlife.

Return to your lodge in time for a hot lunch and an afternoon enjoying the facilities on offer.

In the evening head out again to Lake Manyara to enjoy a night game drive.

Day 4
After breakfast, drive to the Serengeti, the oldest and most popular national park in Tanzania. Depending on when you travel, expect to see either vast expanses of sunburnt savannah or never ending stretches of grass speckled with wildflowers. Either way, the area is rich with wildlife, with thousands of zebra, buffalo, eland, topi, impala and gazelles and their predators including the big cats and crocodiles. Your lodge will provide a packed lunch so you can enjoy the whole day without interruption.

Day 5
Because one day is not enough, set out from your lodge for another full day in the Park with lunch once again provided.

Day 6
After a morning game viewing in the Serengeti, transfer to Ngorongoro. Visit the Olduvai Gorge and the Shifting Sands on the way.

Arrive at your resort in the Ngorongoro highlands in the late afternoon for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 7
After breakfast travel to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. On arrival you will descend onto the crater which is some 610 metres deep and covering an area of 260 square kilometres. The base of the crater is home to a wide range of animals, including the endangered black rhinos, plus an estimated 15,000 grazing animals including wildebeest, zebras, elands, and Grant's and Thomson's Gazelles. Your resort/lodge will provide you with a packed lunch.

Overnight stay in the Ngorongoro Highlands.

Day 8
Drive back to Arusha and on to Kilimanjaro airport

Northern Circuit Short Tour
Short Tour

Day 1
Arrive at Kilimanjaro airport and transfer to Lake Manyara National Park where you will spend the rest of the day enjoying the wildlife and birdlife living in the park. Your driver will come prepared with a packed lunch for you to enjoy during your time in the Park.

Afterwards, proceed to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area in time for dinner and an overnight stay in Ngorongoro Highlands.

Day 2
After breakfast drive to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area and descend the 610 metre crater and enjoy the wide variety of wildlife that call the 260 square kilometres base of the crater home, including black rhino, 15,000 grazing animals including wildebeest, zebras, elands, and Grant's and Thomson's Gazelles. Your resort will provide you with a packed lunch.

Day 3
After breakfast drive to Tarangire National Park where you will spend the day enjoying the topography of the park, including the huge baobab trees. The park is also renowned for its tree climbing pythons and large herds of elephants. For the more adventurous traveller, Tarangire also offers you the opportunity to undertake a walking safari. Your resort will provide you with a packed lunch to better enjoy an uninterrupted days viewing.

Day 4
After breakfast, drive back to Arusha for lunch before being driven to Kilimanjaro airport.

Ruaha Western Route
Day 1
Arrive in Dar Es Salaam. Your driver will then take you to your hotel where you can relax and enjoy the facilities. Dinner and overnight stay.

Day 2
After breakfast, start your 'safari' early with a fascinating drive to Ruaha (approximately 7 hours). You will be provided with a packed lunch to enjoy en route.

Arrive at your resort late afternoon. Relax before enjoying dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 3
After breakfast, head out to enjoy the vast expanse and remoteness of the Ruaha National Park. Game viewing will be focused around the Great Ruaha River where you can expect to see large herds of elephants, alongside lions and wild dogs. Your lodge will provide a packed lunch for you to enjoy during the day.

Day 4
After breakfast, drive to Mikumi National Park. Mikumi is neatly placed on the northern border of the Selous Game Reserve. The Mkata Floodplain is the centre piece of the park with 2 pools hosting hippos and a wide variety of birds. Lunch boxes will be provided en route.

Return to your resort to freshen up before heading out once again for an evening visit Mikumi before returning back to your lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 5
After breakfast, drive to Udzungwa National park and enjoy a guided walk in the park. Relax by the waterfalls and enjoy spectacular views of the south west plateau. Your resort will provide a packed lunch. Return to your resort in Mikumi in the late afternoon and enjoy dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 6
Depart the resort for an early morning game drive before returning to the camp for breakfast. After breakfast and with lunch boxes packed, drive to the Selous Game Reserve. The drive will take you into the biggest game reserve in Africa offering largely uninterrupted views of huge savannahs and an abundance of wildlife.

Arrive at your lodge in time for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 7
After breakfast embark on a boat safari at the Rufiji river. This morning excursion lets you get up close and personal to life on the river, including large number of hippos, crocodiles and an array of birdlife.

Return to your lodge to pick up your already prepared lunch boxes and head out into the Selous Game reserve to view the wide variety of game that live on the vast plains.

Day 8
Wake up before dawn and enjoy a very early breakfast before heading out for a walking safari. Your professional guide will help you experience wilderness on foot and enable you to see the flora and fauna at close range.

On your return to the camp, collect your lunch boxes before heading out again for your drive back to Dar Es Salaam.
Selous & Zanzibar
Day 1

Day 5
After Breakfast, return to the airstrip at Stiegler's Gorge for your flight to Zanzibar.

On your arrival in Zanzibar, transfer to Stone Town and your hotel. You will arrive in time for lunch and have the rest of the afternoon and evening to relax.

Day 6
After breakfast, enjoy a walking tour of Stone Town. Stone Town has a labyrinth of alleys not suitable for cars, (but watch out for mopeds and scooters). Down the alleys you will find loads of shops selling a range of crafts and curios. Look out for the brass studded carved wooden doors and of course the house where Freddie Mercury was born.

Return to your hotel to then transfer to your Beach hotel in time for lunch.

Enjoy the rest of the day on the beach or by the pool.

Day 7 & 8 *
Time to relax and enjoy the beach and the facilities on offer at your beach resort.

Day 9
Transfer back to the airport for your flight.

Mahale National Park
Day 1
After your arrival in Dar Es Salaam you will be driven to your hotel. Enjoy the rest of the day, taking advantage of the resort facilities.

Dinner and Overnight stay.

Day 2
Transfer from your hotel for your flight to Arusha. On arrival in Arusha you will take another flight to Mahale. On arrival at the Mahale airstrip you will transfer by Dhow boat to the camp (approximately 1.5 hours). Rest of the day at leisure. Depending on your arrival time, you may have a chance to enjoy an afternoon of Chimpanzee trekking or alternatively take a short Forest walk.

Day 3 & 4
After breakfast venture into the park for Chimpanzee trekking. The park is famous for being the home of some of Africa's last remaining wild chimpanzees. It is estimated that over 1500 chimpanzees live in the area. You have 2 full days to enjoy this amazing experience, so even if you don't see a Chimpanzee on your first outing, you will have other opportunities to do so.

Day 4
After breakfast return by Dhow to the Mahale airstrip for your return flight to Arusha. The resort will provide a packed lunch to enjoy on your journey.
