The Kandy House Accommodation

All rooms at Kandy House are named after butterflies and have been individually styled incorporating local fabrics, elegant furniture and modern amenities.

There are four ULTRA Rooms – Red Spot Duke, Peacock Royal, Indian Admiral and Black Rajah. These are larger then the deluxe rooms and have access onto a verandah with chaise longues, reading chairs, table and other antiques, ideal for more private dining and relaxing.

RED SPOT DUKE:
A spacious double room, opening onto a wide verandah. Has a four-poster king-size bed with mosquito net, sofa, large cupboards and other antique furniture. A luxurious bathroom with a bath as well as a separate shower, WC and double-basins.

PEACOCK ROYAL:
Red Spot Duke’s sister room nearby, another spacious double room opening onto a wide verandah. Has a four-poster king-size bed with mosquito net, sofa, large cupboards and other antique furniture. A luxurious bathroom with a bath as well as a separate shower, WC and double-basins.

INDIAN ADMIRAL:
On the upper floor around the inner courtyard, opening onto its own outer verandah, this large room looks towards luscious green paddy fields and the infinity pool. Has a four-poster king-size bed with mosquito net, sofa, large cupboard and other antique furniture. A luxurious bathroom with an old-fashioned cast-iron bathtub as well as a separate shower, WC and double-basins.

BLACK RAJAH:
With arched doors opening onto an outdoor verandah, this room also boasts an octagonal stone bath. Has a king-size bed with mosquito net, sofa, large cupboard and other antique furniture. Also with a separate shower, WC and double-basins. There’s a double swing-hammock in a “secret” garden nearby. Can be booked with adjoining Deluxe double bedroom - Monkey Puzzle.

There are five DELUXE Rooms – Sunbeam, Cornelian, Monkey Puzzle, Pioneer and Lime Butterfly. These rooms are a little smaller than the Ultra Rooms, and not all enjoy access to their own private verandah. Two are Twin Rooms without a bath (but with separate shower). Otherwise, all amenities and standards of furnishing are to the same high standard.

SUNBEAM:
On the upper floor around the inner courtyard, enjoying a view over the stunning jungle-fringed infinity pool. Has a four-poster king-size bed with mosquito net, cupboard and other antique furniture. A luxurious bathroom with an old-fashioned cast-iron bathtub as well as separate shower, WC and double-basins.

CORNELIAN:
On the upper floor around the inner courtyard, with access to a verandah with chaise longues and views to the jungle. Has a four-poster king-size bed with mosquito net, cupboard and other antique furniture. A luxurious bathroom with a bath as well as separate shower, WC and double-basins.

MONKEY PUZZLE:
With its own arched doorway leading to a small outdoor verandah, this is one of our Twin Rooms, although it can easily become a Double. Has two beds with mosquito net, cupboard, sofa and other antique furniture. A luxurious bathroom with a shower, WC and double basins, but no bath. The room adjoins the Black Rajah room and is ideal for families travelling with teenage children to book both rooms.

PIONEER:
With a private verandah and nestled right into the garden, where your own swing-hammock awaits you. This is one of our Twin Rooms, although it can easily become a Double. Has two beds with mosquito net, cupboard, sofa and other antique furniture. A luxurious bathroom with a shower, WC and double basins, but no bath.

LIME BUTTERFLY:
On the upper floor with access from the inner courtyard. Has a four-poster king-size bed with mosquito net, cupboard and other antique furniture. A luxurious bathroom with an old-fashioned cast-iron bathtub as well as a separate shower, WC and double-basins.
