Fabulous food all week. Husband needs gluten-free and the kitchen couldn't do enough for him, special puddings, pancakes, bread (sometimes even appearing as a treat, we hadn't ordered it). Unfortunately he put on 4lbs in weight that week ;) All staff were great, including management who were visible and came to chat to us several times. Love the natural pool setting and beach. If going during winter (we were on the tail-end) do take a jumper as it can be very windy and therefore cool. Nice to have different things going on during the week (La Kaze Mama & Fish Shack).
Maradiva Villas:-
The villas are spacious and lovely and the grounds well looked after and pretty. Waiting/service staff were all friendly and helpful, although we think management need to be a little more hands on and visible. Evening meals were good, although about half the A la Carte menu attracts an extra supplement if you are on Half Board which removes choice if you are there for a while. The Teppanyaki and Cilantro (Indian) restaurants were excellent. However, the breakfast kitchen was chaotic, we waited 45 mins one morning for two omelettes much to the embarrassment of the waiting staff who couldn't help, and unfortunately this wasn't an isolated experience. We did the organised walk and bike ride from the hotel, which we enjoyed, plus visited the gym. If you have beach shoes (necessary as coral washed up on beach), walk towards Tamarin. Beautiful unspoilt beach there and in the morning you can watch dolphins in the bay.

Waking up in the morning and thinking about 'what not to do today' is a luxury these days but Makunudu is the place to do just that. It is the perfect resort to relax and unwind and leave the world behind, if only for a while.

Thank you so much to Angelfish and to Drift for making our holiday so special. The booking service from Angelfish is fantastic and we were kept informed at every step. The small details really made the difference, even the way our travel documents and itinerary were posted was a nice surprise as usually our holiday booking are all online based and it was much more exciting to have the details in your hand than saved on your email. The Drift staff were amazing, from our greeting at the airport right to our collection on our return journey, the service level never dropped and the staff could not have done more for us. The island itself is beautiful - even better than the pictures and the villas and other areas are beautifully designed and spotlessly clean. This was a special holiday for us to celebrate my 30th birthday but we will absolutely be returning next year!

We had a great vacation that only required is showing up, everything was pre booked and set up for us in advance and the resort was exactly as described by you guys. Loved that we have a price and our interests and you found us the perfect resort!

Centara Grand is a beautiful and very well run resort with a great choice of Activities, great snorkelling and Beach. The all inclusive is very good, no catch! , the room, food, drinks and daily spa treatments were of high standard. Despite being very unlucky with the weather we had a wonderful holiday and what made it special is the great team of Staff at Centara . They were all very friendly but also very professional, they all tried their best to meet any request we had and made us feel special.

This was our 5 th visit and just feel relaxed from the moment we arrive. Service is excellent & we are very impressed with the new general manager. He obviously wants to keep his clients happy but his staff are as important too. The general feel at the hotel is warm & happy.
