Client Testimonials
PARADISE BEACHCOMBER This hotel is tired , the staff are unsure about the escape package re where you eat and drink.
Service is ok, once whilst we were ordering food the waiter walked off.
Beach towels didn't get replaced.Although minor things its annoying as we paid an extra 600 pounds to stay here.
views are beautiful! And the visit to casela park was fab...
HERITAGE TELFAIR
the nature reserve park is amazing.
the gourmet bliss package is nice.
the beach club was really nice too.
Thanks for all you help in organising our honeymoon, it was an absolute dream holiday and we loved every minute!
Both hotels were phenomenal (we particularly LOVED Lux) and SEGA were great too, here are the scant few things we could pick up on to improve (we struggled to find anything!):
Would be great if Lux had a bit more dancing for adults!
Constance could have done with a little foot wash bowl at each room when coming back from the beach.
The cultural north tour would benefit from having the botanical gardens and sugar museum first (lots of content, very interesting but better when energy is still high!), then going in to Port Louis (which we found much less interesting)
Not all of SEGA's drivers had good English, although this wasn't a major problem.
JA Manufaru is a wonderful resort. The transfer was better than expected. But you do need to ensure your international flight coordinates with the domestic charter.
Legendary Oberoi service, superb suite (better than the one we requested which was occupied). Ours, 101, had a large garden and also a small enclosed sunny space at the front. Fab food, but OMG, the exchange rate is scary!
Hotel – 4-star, eco-friendly, adults-only, all-inclusive package option
This eco-friendly, Adults Only resort ticked all our boxes for a completely relaxing holiday. The All in All Out all-inclusive package was great value and offered a wide selection of dining options from the Buffet or at either of the speciality restaurants, Coral and Kot Nou. The latter 2 have to be booked on site but we had no trouble booking these in advance and enjoyed the a la carte experience in both restaurants to mix up with the buffet dining. The standard, quality and choice of food were excellent for a 4-star hotel – both at the buffet and the restaurants.
The staff are friendly & welcoming and a lot of them take the time to remember your personal preferences for food / drinks.
The resort itself is kept very clean & tidy with beautiful tropical gardens and gorgeous birds joining in the afternoon pancake slot! Yes, there are the dogs which people mention in TripAdvisor. But they are well looked after & keep away from you – unless you feed them which you are asked not to – they do not pester or intimidate you.
We chose to lie on the beach areas as we had come for the Indian Ocean views & we were not disappointed. Yes, it was windy at the time of year we went (Sept) but that helped cool down the heat & we just watched we didn’t get burned.
We enjoyed the 2x free trips offered as part of the all-inclusive package with a trip on the glass-bottom boat with Captain Jack and a snorkelling trip out at the reef. There were other trips available but we were there to relax and enjoy the sun and scenery, so were suitably lazy!
Finally, we would like to mention your reps Sega Tours who do the transfers and “welcome”. They were very welcoming and informative. In particular, Ravin gave us a thoroughly enjoyable welcome chat with lot of insightful knowledge of the history and geography of the island.
We will certainly be in touch with you when booking our next Indian Ocean trip!
Hi Jo. Just back after a long journey. I was mainly golfing so didn’t do any excursions. Golf courses and practice areas were fantastic though difficult with Ile aux cerfs bordering on unfair at times. Highlights were the staff the restaurant and the golf. Hotel prices pretty steep exacerbated by the weak £ . Happy to talk to anyone considering golf break there. For soul nothing beat coco Palm.
We loved Angsana Ihuru. It has everything you need with pure simplicity. Hope the 'rebrand' does not change the charm of the place.
Absolutely fantastic if you just want to chill, relax and snorkel on the reefs. It felt like you were on a desert island. Staff were amazing, nothing they would not do for you, so polite and friendly and were really happy to engage in conversation about anything, best place on the reefs for snorkelling, football, each member of staff had a tell to tale, you felt you had known them for a long time. Our time there was the greatest ever and would highly recommend the island, in fact we are planning another vacation there.
Fabulous break for us . Some hiccups with travel -fortunately addressed quickly and efficiently by airline and ground staff although flight connection was missed. ( could have gone very wrong and lost many hours !! )
Drift was perfect for us . Ticked all our boxes - although may not suit everyone / no frills just perfect . Food good and not over the top . Room a little dated but kept clean . Most staff very pleasant and respected our privacy . Not able to offer the promised trip fishing and water sports guy left quickly on our 3 rd day - so equipment etc issued by reception !! Not manned for a while . As my husband stated - Drift works well but not sure how as there doesn’t seem to be any management !!!
Management cocktail party was lovely - but there was no host ??
House reef snorkelling was excellent and very easy to access. Staff were incredibly polite, attentive and excellent service. There was a wide variety of good quality food at the buffet and Just Wok and Just Grill were excellent.
Our pool villa was perfectly located on a lovely beach and very close to house reef. We would have been disappointed to be on the other side of the island where the view was the water villas and the beach wasn’t as good.
The area near the Rock bar is untidy (although the bar is lovely).
I think the island would benefit from a “games room” with table football for example for older children.
Overall we had a great holiday. The reason we wouldn’t want to return is that there are so many other places to visit in the world!
