dusitD2 Feydhoo Maldives is a modern, easy-going resort located just a short 7–10 minute speedboat transfer from Malé, making it one of the most accessible island experiences in the Maldives. This ease of access, combined with its all-inclusive concept and vibrant atmosphere, gives the resort a very different appeal to the more remote, traditional islands.
The arrival experience is smooth and efficient, with modern transfers and a warm welcome setting the tone. The island itself is newly developed and has a fresh feel, with ongoing enhancements that reflect its evolution into a well-rounded resort. While the landscaping is still maturing, the overall impression is of a well-designed island with a focus on lifestyle and social spaces.
Accommodation is spacious and well thought out for the price point. Beach Pool Villas are particularly appealing, offering generous layouts, private pools and the added benefit of a separate sleeping area, ideal for families or those wanting extra space. Interiors are clean and minimalist, with thoughtful touches such as remote-control curtains and quality amenities throughout.
The heart of the resort is the main Midi beach club, pool and bar area, which creates a lively and sociable atmosphere throughout the day and into the evening. It’s a genuinely enjoyable space, whether for relaxed lunches, sunset drinks or evening entertainment, and is likely to be a key draw for many guests. Cocoon bar adds another dimension, with live music and a more informal, social setting.
Dining overall is solid and varied, with a good choice of venues and cuisines. Baraveli, the main restaurant, offers a well-executed buffet and themed evenings, while Midi delivers consistently enjoyable Mediterranean-style dishes in a relaxed beach club setting. The all-inclusive concept — allowing guests to dine across multiple venues — adds flexibility and enhances the overall experience.
Facilities are strong for a resort of this size and positioning, including a well-equipped gym, a small but attractive spa, tennis and pickleball courts, and dedicated kids’ and teens’ clubs. The resort is also clearly positioned to appeal to both leisure and group travellers, with additional event and conference facilities in development.
Snorkelling is more limited compared to some Maldivian resorts, with a few coral garden areas and easy access by boat to more extensive sites. The dive centre offers regular excursions to manta and shark points, which helps to broaden the marine experience beyond the immediate lagoon.
