Set along the south east coast of Zanzibar, Zawadi Hotel is the newest property from the Zanzibar Collection, the same group behind Baraza, Breezes and The Palms. The location is a study in contrasts: the hotel perches atop a cliff with commanding views of the Indian Ocean, while below, the cliff recedes to reveal a lovely white sandy beach reached via a short stairway.
The resort operates on an all-inclusive basis and offers an infinity swimming pool, a choice of restaurants and a pool bar. For those who want more active pursuits, access to water sports, a PADI 5 Star dive centre and a tennis court are available at the sister hotel roughly two kilometres away, with a complimentary shuttle service running between the two.
