Great location, greater food, greatest staff. First class service from beginning to end.
All the team at Angelfish Travel provide exceptional service, ensuring our stay at Constance Moofushi was perfect in every way.
A massive personal thank you to all of you for your continued First class service.
Absolutely beautiful island with amazing snorkeling. The over water villas are very pretty with an amazing deck with your own infinity pool. All the restaurants have fantastic food and drinks available. The breakfast buffet is amazing as well. The staff all learn your name, know where you are, what you like, and are extremely friendly. Everything here is a dream and we are dying to return. The angelfish team was also very helpful to find us the right resort and very flexible around the nonstop flight changes from Qatar Air. They never once complained and continued to help to make sure it was a great trip. All around 11 out of 10!
Overall our trip was fantastic, from the planning and booking with Angelfish, to our wonderful 7 nights in the Maldives. However we were disappointed with our first room allocation; 318 is directly behind the island’s ‘engine room’ and the constraint rumble of the diesel generator and smell of curry or omelet from the kitchens extended to the room, ‘tranquil’ pool area and beach. We were moved on request but, as we were visiting for a special occasion I’m surprised we were given 318 in the first place! There had obviously been other complaints about that room before ours! Apart from that, the staff were wonderfully warm and welcoming, the island was beautiful, the snorkelling fantastic, the food was good, and the holiday good value overall.
Beautiful island with the best service we have ever encountered, staff are genuinely kind and couldn’t be more welcoming. Small but lots of dining options, we loved it as a holiday for us and our two children.
A very successful return to Dhigali. Saw many positive changes since last year; I'll put a full review on Trip Advisor in due course.
Positives - engaged management; bespoke dining (once given feedback about intolerances and mislabelling of food in menus and in buffet); diving team is excellent; Haali sunset bar is especially atmospheric; management drinks; spacious rooms; repeater benefits - inc discount on spa, free in villa dining on one occasion, offered an upgrade early on to pool villa, gifts; natural landscaping; very proactive management - chasing me often for discussion (prob scared of me); nice kayaking; lots of wildlife; house reef; free dolphin cruise (saw hundreds); glass bottom bottom (surprisingly good this year);
Areas for improvement: mosquito/gnat fogging is ineffective; still need more lounge seating around the pool
Wet really enjoyed it. It is one of my top 3 resorts.
Lovely rooms including massive bathroom. Great snorkelling with house reef very close to the shore. Good food and choice of wines in a number of restaurants. Housekeeping a bit disappointing. Everyone had an allotted bike which was great. Good tennis court. Watersports included Topcat catamaran and paddle boards. We had a beach villa with a pool (208) which was very private and secluded but a little disappointing that there was concrete on the shoreline however this was not the case everywhere. Despite the fact that it was over 80% occupied, the place seemed very quiet with plenty of space wherever we were.
Thanks to Jo and all at Angelfish for recommending Mirihi. Two days after returning, it's fair to say we are in post-holiday blues after leaving this beautiful little gem.
We loved the charm, authenticity and high quality service. Although it may not be at the highest end of some of the Maldivian resorts, we truly felt like this was a 5-star experience. The food, service, house reef and overall upkeep and charm of the resort are superb. The bars were amazing and the beaches perfect. The house reef and snorkelling was the best we have seen and is exhibiting a good amount of coral growth. The negatives are minor and do not detract from the overall wonderful experience. However, of note, the following were noted for feedback:
1. The low tide is particularly low and made snorkelling from the water villa impossible on all but 3 days from 8. It is still fantastic to have the water villa experience but it would have been nice to have known about this in advance or to have had this feature. Snorkelling from the beaches is however superb.
2. It was wonderful to observe Whale Sharks so close during the Whale Shark seeker cruise, however, despite obvious attempts of the Thari crew from Mirihi to provide a ethical and responsible experience for guests to dive with these wonderful creatures, it tends to become something of an uncontrolled melee once a Whale Shark is sited with motorized vessels from other resorts and other groups of snorkelers rapidly converging on the area akin to a safari. This made for a somewhat uncomfortable experience although outside the control of our hosts.
3. The departure seaplane flight was nowhere near as well coordinated as arrival. No Mirihi rep was evident on arrival back into Male. Eventually a 3rd party agent was located who offered help. The seaplane baggage transfer appeared far less organized for arriving flights than departing and appeared confusing.
Otherwise, wow- what a place. The food, the bars, the swimming, the weather. Would definitely return to Mirihi. This is our 3rd time in the Maldives and we've finally found the place we'd go back to again and hopefully again.
Angelfish. Your no shoes, no news recommendations and the way you carefully listened to a mix of requirements were spot on! Thank you.
Both of these resorts were "out of this world". We were so impressed with Hurawalhi and then you sent us to Milaidhoo -- which was even better. We’ll start with our experience at Hurawalhi. Our over the water bungalow was amazing! All of the staff and our butler (Ahmed) were wonderful. Dinner at 5.8 is an experience that no one should miss. We did the wine pairing along with dinner and it was one of the most amazing dinners we have ever had. All of the food and drinks were great. We did four dives with Colyne and loved every minute --she is an amazing dive instructor.
Everyone at Milaidhoo treated us like royalty. We felt that they really cared about us. Murey arranged a very special dinner for us, we had champagne and a bubble bath one evening after dinner, an anniversary cake and more champagne, and a private breakfast on our terrace and more champagne! The Seafood Market was so amazing the we did it twice. Every single meal that we had was excellent. We would especially like to thank Ahmed (our butler), Murey, Nadeem, Shippe, and Qassan.
