We loved our 2nd trip to Reethi Faru and it really ticks our two main requirements of good food and good snorkelling. We feel it’s very good value for a 4* resort
A wonderful wonderful trip to Sri Lanka and the Maldives… we are already planning the next one (but probably not with Sri Lankan Airlines as we had a bad experience both journeys).
We had a lovely stay at Moofushi.
It was the perfect first island in the Maldives to take our Mum to, she had a holiday of a lifetime! The good value All Inclusive option made the whole holiday stress free.
Both our rooms where lovely and much nicer than we had expected.
Lovely bathroom :) On check in they fullfilled our wish of our rooms being next to each other.
We had fantastic service everywhere on the island. The Totem bar was a particular favorite of ours and the staff soon knew us by name!
All food and drinks where well prepared and very tasty, with lots of options for a fussy veggie like me!
Only downsides for me are the ugly groynes spoiling the lagoon (I know the are important) Mum and Jason disagree with me and said they didn't notice them.
The constant seaplane arrivals where a bit of a problem (around 10 a day some days!)
They are parked so close to the island, right up against the jetty. The jetty is on the nicest beach area, and next to the best snorkelling area on the island (we literally snorkelled around them!) The takeoff/landing noise can get a bit much...not sure why they don't dock out at sea and boat in like every other island we have stayed on? never experienced this before.
....although neither of the things would stop me retuning to the beautiful Moofushi

We thoroughly enjoyed our visit to the Emerald Faarufushi Resort & Spa as our first introduction to The Maldives. All the transfers worked seamlessly and we were looked after very well throughout.
The over water villa with pool was beautiful and all the staff without fail were welcoming and friendly and could not do enough for you.
Loved having the bikes to run around the island and the spa was beautiful with excellent treatments.
The food offerings were of a good standard - but not exceptional - although the special Indian meal that was made for us was superb and a very nice touch to offer this to us after we had mentioned loving Indian food.
We did not enjoy having to book for lunches as it felt too formal and restrictive rather than in keeping with the wider relaxed atmosphere - it didn't help being turned away when we did just turn up!
We feel that the sunset villas have a better view and get more sun and also seemed to be less impacted by the weather conditions such as the high winds which meant sitting on our terrace on some days was not ideal.
The only change we will make for our next trip will be to go adult only as this did feel more of a family location.

Saii Lagoon, went with girl friends and its a nice resort , however service is very slow at pretty much all places we visited apart from the indian restaurant in cross roads.
