This is an exclusive retreat on its own private island in the north west of the archipelago. North Island has 11 private villas all set in a protected natural nature reserve. The villas are built in the Robinson Crusoe style and are 450sqm in size.
All the villas come with their own private plunge pool and all the trimmings you would expect from a resort at this level. There is also a main pool, a PADI dive centre and wine cellar. For the more active, kayaks and bicycles are also available.

North Island Summary
North Island, located about 30 km from Mahé, is a secluded haven of white sand beaches, tropical vegetation, granite outcrops, and eco-friendly architecture. At its heart lies the Island Piazza, where a grand Indian almond tree anchors a cluster of elegant buildings. Nearby stands the beautifully restored coral-block library, home to books, artefacts, and Internet access. Just beyond, the lounge and dining areas provide both comfort and stunning views of the sea and mountains, with walkways leading to a wine cellar, private dining sala, and bar.
Tucked higher up the mountain is the main pool, a 45-metre infinity-style expanse that overlooks the horizon, creating an unforgettable sense of beauty and tranquillity.

North Island is designed to deliver the ultimate in privacy, luxury, and natural beauty, with 11 handcrafted villas built to embody “barefoot luxury.” Each villa spans 450 square metres and is raised above the ground to catch sea breezes, featuring thatched roofs and open layouts. Villas include a master bedroom with en-suite bathroom, indoor and outdoor showers, and a second bedroom that doubles as a lounge or cinema, adaptable for families or additional guests. Each villa also features a private plunge pool and sala to enhance the retreat-like atmosphere.
While Villas 1–10 sit along Anse d’Est Beach, the standout North Island Villa, at 750 square metres, is uniquely tucked into takamaka forest, offering panoramic views and an exclusive design that sets it apart.
Dining
North Island’s cuisine celebrates the finest natural ingredients, with fresh produce from its own gardens and seafood from surrounding fertile waters. Rooted in Seychellois Creole traditions, dishes are infused with French, Indian, African, and global influences, with daily menus shaped by seasonal harvests and guest preferences.
Dining options are diverse: candlelit meals at the Piazza, beachside barbecues and tapas at West Beach Bar, or private in-villa dining with personalised menus.
