Shangri-La's Le Touessrok Resort & Spa

Shangri-La Le Touessrok is a vibrant resort on Mauritius' east coast, set in a turquoise lagoon at Trou d'Eau Douce, around an hour's drive from the airport. It is a 34-hectare property with six secluded white sand beaches spanning 4km, plus its own private island, Ilot Mangénie, which is reached by daily boat. The contemporary, colourful design is by renowned studio The Odd Duck.

Accommodation

There are 185 rooms, suites and beachfront villas in total. Accommodation is split across three collections: Coral, Frangipani and Hibiscus. All are designed around natural island elements, with black and white photography of traditional Mauritian scenes, decorative lighting and locally grounded furniture. Rooms range from 56 to 70 square metres, and each comes with a separate shower and bathtub, Nespresso machine, minibar, 55-inch interactive TV and 24-hour room service.

Suite guests enjoy in-suite check-in, premium welcome amenities, a daily restocked minibar selection and à la carte breakfast at Coco's Beach House. Villa guests get a butler and private chef from 07:00 to 23:00, door-to-door chauffeur buggy service, a champagne arrival amenity set refreshed daily, a welcome gift for children, breakfast in-villa if preferred, and complimentary laundry.

TSK

The heart and soul of the resort, echoing the layout of a Mauritian home with a lively kitchen, a refined dining room, a light-filled conservatory and an inviting library. It serves a fusion of Mauritian flavours and global culinary artistry from interactive food stations.

Safran

An elegant Indian restaurant that blends South Indian style with British colonial flair. At its fiery heart are the tandoor ovens, where chefs prepare tandoori delicacies and freshly baked naans.

Kushi

A secluded Japanese hideaway where the delicate artistry of Japanese cuisine is both honoured and elevated. A sake alcove and a Teppan Room offer rare sakes and teppanyaki menus crafted from authentic Japanese ingredients.

Coco's

The Mauritian beach house, named after the local word for coconut and standing on the very spot where the Le Touessrok story began. It offers a curated selection of classic Mauritian dishes and fresh, locally sourced seafood, with panoramic views over Hibiscus Beach and the lagoon.

Sega Bar

The resort's living room, with cocktails crafted from local rums and fresh exotic fruits, plus small plates and tapas, while live local music makes it a lively evening hub.


Dining and drinks are also available on Ilot Mangénie, the resort's private island, which has a relaxed beachside restaurant and bar a short boat ride away, serving fresh salads, artisan pizzas and rum-based cocktails.

Water sports on offer include snorkelling, scuba diving, windsurfing, kite surfing, water skiing, wakeboarding, sailing, kayaking, paddle boarding, parasailing, banana tubing, big game fishing and glass-bottom boat rides.

On land, guests can enjoy two 18-hole championship golf courses at Ile aux Cerfs and Anahita, three floodlit tennis courts, a padel court, archery, electric bike rental, table tennis, beach volleyball and billiards.

Chi, The Spa offers holistic wellness treatments, while the kids club is the largest on the island, with daily programmes, themed events and a recreation centre for teens; babysitting is available for an additional fee.
