Our favourite was Gili ... the rooms are fabulous and so spacious and private. Food was OK but nothing special except for the Asian Market which was 10/10. It is fairly close to Male and we thought we might be bothered by plane noise but this wasn't the case. We could though see a not too pretty island a couple of km away and one night boom base from another island (I believe is Russian and they do this on purpose now and again to annoy the Gili guests). Despite this Gili is the most likely island that we would return to (especially if the food was better), it's very laid back and chilled.

Havaveli - as good as ever (even though it did rain every day), I would certainly recommend it and for me the accommodation was far superior to Anantara.

Anantara: Service impeccable, as were all our islands, but was disappointed with the accommodation. This was by far the most expensive resort but the worst accommodation ... it wasn't bad but all the over water villas are very close together and you felt hemmed in on each side by not very pretty fencing. It didn't help that we had a very loud Chinese family in the next villa that communicated by shouting! Food was wonderful and great that if you are on half board that you can eat anything you want of any menu without any supplement (except Sea). We particularly liked Salt. We did have dinner in Sea and it was worth every $ ... I was expecting it to be all about location and not the food, I was so wrong ... the food was superb. They were very generous with the wine too!

The transfers between all islands ran very smooth without any hitches.

That's two years on the run to the Maldives, time for a change in 2015 but we will be back one day.

Another excellent holiday in Mauritius, we return every year and it just gets better!

It was quite honestly the most magical holiday my wife and I have ever been on, and will be looking to return to in the future. The resort was spectacular, and the staff were friendly and would quite literally bend over backwards to assist with any requirements. The manager was always on hand making sure we were looked after, a real gent. The non-water activity score is a non entity. This was the holiday that we wanted, snorkelling and chilling out, so to be honest we weren't looking for non water activities.

Beautiful island resort with great service, food and accommodation, let down a little bit by its small range of excursions. Having said that we cannot wait to return!!

Great service (yet again) from Angelfish and Coco Palm is an excellent resort with a strong focus on quality service from every member of their staff. It's my seventh Maldivian resort, all within a similar price band and Coco Palm Dhuni Kolhu is one of the strongest.

Constance Moofushi was outrageously beautiful. The service was impeccable. The Senior Water Villa a delight. A masterful room. The island sumptuous only ruined by the wavebreakers and occasional sandbags. Food exquisite. Beach fantastic with gorgeous white sand. Snorkelling fun. The ocean was crystal blue, warm and perfect to swim in. Indulged in the Cinefushi too which was very romantic. The weather was remarkable also, beautifully hot! It truly is an island paradise. Great value for money too! The best All inclusive we've ever been to!

Constance Halaveli was not quite as good as Moofushi but it too was mesmerising. The service superb. The water villa, quite simply, was the best we've ever stayed in. What a plunge pool and what a view! Lit up by lanterns, the walk to the water villas at night to the island was amazing. The spa was out of this world! The food was very good, room service & Jing in particular top drawer! The weather was a bit dodgy though but it was rainy season. It is also a bit on the pricey side and i personally would have preferred if it was all inclusive. The beach next to the bar & the main restaurant was stunning with powder like sand. But what let this resort down was the rest of the beach around the island itself. It was very narrow and poorly maintained with plenty of sandbags. It lacked that true desert island feel. The wavebreakers too were an eyesore as they are all around the small island and not what you want to look at in the middle of the Indian Ocean. They are there to protect the island though so i appreciate they are needed.

Would i go back to either resort? No to Halaveli but yes to Moofushi. My wife would go back to both though in a heartbeat! All in all we had a wonderful Honeymoon!

Thanks to everyone at Angelfish for organising the entire trip. It was great value and ran almost seamlessly. The transfer between the 2 islands in our very own personal speedboat was memorable! I only gave 8 out of 10 though for Angelfish's confirmation & Moofushi's meet & greet and transfers because when we arrived in Male, they weren't expecting us as their documents had us down for arriving on a much later flight. Therefore there was a bit of chaos at the start and we were unable to get on the first seaplane that everyone else got on. After a few hours wait though and the tranquillity of Moofushi's lounge had mellowed my wife, we were on our way so only a minor hiccup that didn't impact on our honeymoon at all! The level of service from both resorts was outstanding thereafter!
