Dining is entirely flexible, both in terms of time and location. You can select anywhere on the hotel premises - including your own room and the garden - as well as the other more usual dining areas. There are no set meal times; the kitchen team is available from breakfast at around 6 am until the last dinner is served in the evening.

The house speciality is the traditional Sri Lankan Rice and Curry, specially tailored for the Western Palate. However, it is a pleasure for the Chef and his team to cook separately for anyone wanting to sample the authentic, highly flavoured spicy curries that are a feature of Sri Lankan cuisine.

Breakfast usually comes with a choice of Full English, Continental, cereals, bread and jams. However, should you wish to experience a traditional Sri Lankan breakfast the kitchen team will be glad to provide a selection including Hoppers and Kiri-Bath (prior notice is required).

Lunch is often taken in the form of quick, freshly prepared, delicious snacks such as sandwiches and burgers, in between activities and excursions in Kandy.

Dinner offers a guaranteed daily choice of a 3-course Rice and Curry, as well as at least one (if not two or three) separate Fusion and Western options.

Children’s meals and vegetarian options are available on request, as are other special requirements such as Gluten Free or Halal. As is usual for a small establishment, diners are required to give prior notice of meal choices in order for the kitchen team to provide the best possible service and variety.

The Bar

The Senior Bartender has an extensive list of cocktails to offer, plus a selection of local and imported beers, spirits and non-alcoholic mocktails, fruit juices and milkshakes. There is also a modest but varied Wine list, including Champagne for those with a celebration in mind.
