Summary
A haven for the time traveller, the nature lover, the escapist, and the explorer, Cinnamon Lodge Habarana is a 5-star resort nestled in nature’s serenity right in the heart of Sri Lanka’s Cultural Triangle.
Sprawled over 37 acres of lush forested land, Cinnamon Lodge Habarana is an exclusive all-suite hideaway for couples and families alike. With architecture inspired from the historic remains of Ritigala, a monastery dating back to the 6th Century, all 137 luxurious chalets have been carefully created to offer high levels of comfort and generous living space - 1700 trees were saved during the construction of the Mahaweli Dam and these have been transplanted outside each of the chalets.
Guests can indulge in the country’s finest foods at the three restaurants that are renowned for dishes ranging from local delicacies to international favourites. Being a truly eco-friendly resort, Cinnamon Lodge Habarana also offers the option enjoying organic fine dining prepared from the produce of its very own organic farm. Guests can also choose from a range of unique and creative dining options, from tree top dining, dining by the lake or dining with the chef.
Being located in tranquil surroundings, Cinnamon Lodge is also the ideal place to unwind, relax and enjoy the calming body therapy and signature treatments at the Azmaara spa.
The resort is also in close proximity to the Minneriya National Park, home to many lakes and host of the annual ‘Gathering’of hundreds of elephants coming together across the park to eat the lush grass left behind when the water recedes.
