Angsana Velavaru Facilities

The resort offers a huge beach on the sunset side of the island with acres of pristine white sand in the area near the Kaani Restaurant and main bar overlooking the lagoon towards the InOcean Villas....superb for enjoying a sundowner or for a candlelit dinner on the beach.

One of Velavaru's weaknesses in the past has been its snorkelling. There is good snorkelling on the eastern side of the island on the ocean side, however there are no access points to the drop-off area. There are a couple a places in the main lagoon but nothing to get too excited about. However all that has changed with the new InOcean Villas which are superbly positioned for snorkelling being only short distance from a spectacular drop-off which runs all the way along the sunset side of these villas. So hop on the boat to the water villas which gives you great access to the reef.

Beach Pavilion
Named 'Iruga Dhalha' this is superbly positioned on the beachfront next to the lagoon. It is an enchanted setting for weddings, small meetings and special dining experiences.
